It’s hard to get a decent night’s sleep these days on Cape Town’s Atlantic Seaboard, where a noisy ship has upset light-sleeping residents.

A rasping engine aboard the 22m Ocean Ndjodhi, a Namibian supply ship operating out of Cape Town harbour, has pierced the calm of seagulls and lapping surf, and prompted a formal noise complaint.
