Cape Town may be at risk of being named the world’s most dangerous city as murders soar, but if you are attacked in the Mother City there is a little good news.
Investigators who studied security camera footage of physical confrontations in the city centre found there is just as much chance of bystanders coming to your aid as in European cities.
The findings stem from an analysis of footage of 219 physical conflicts in the inner cities of Amsterdam (Netherlands), Lancaster (UK) and Cape Town, in which bystanders intervened in nine out of 10 cases...
