Dying horse abandoned by ‘well-dressed’ couple
Left to die in veld near Cullinan outside Pretoria, the badly neglected stallion is clinging to life
A horse named Zulu – rescued from a nondescript patch of veld near Cullinan after he was dumped and left for dead on Tuesday – is still clinging to life.
The stallion was found by a farmer who witnessed a man and woman dragging the prostrate animal from a horse trailer and driving away.
“The farmer went to have a look and he found the horse. He was busy dying in the veld. He called us, and our inspectors rushed out and he was in a bad way. It looked like it was going to take its last breaths in front of them,” Wetnose Animal Rescue centre MD Debbie Buys said...
