Mpumalanga hairdresser clients were unsuspectingly chatting as their hair was being washed, while in the room next door their store cards were being swiped from their purses.
Or at least, this is what Edwin Chirgwin, 37, of HairByMe salon, is being accused of. He recently appeared in court in Mbombela on charges of theft. He allegedly used a client’s Foschini store card to buy laptops, a cellphone and a tablet valued at R17,000.
