A campaign by the couple has seen thousands of pairs of shoes being donated to South Africans in need

A band of Brazilian Comrades marathon athletes will arrive in SA with more than running gear in their suitcases.

Many of the 189 runners will also bring more than 1,500 pairs of second-hand running shoes, all earmarked for SA charities.

Brazilian husband-and-wife runners Daniela and Gilmar Signori, who have run the Comrades seven times, started the running shoe campaign in their country seven years ago...
