Lesufi apologises after race rant turns out to be fake, but experts say he could still be in hot water
Gauteng education MEC Panyaza Lesufi had to eat humble pie and apologise for sharing a racist tweet that turned out to be fake news.
The same tweet also left Lesufi with a temporarily suspended Twitter account, so he was unable to immediately delete it. But he told Times Select on Tuesday afternoon that he has since withdrawn the controversial fake tweet.
