Sewage spills last month into the Zandvlei Nature Reserve in Lakeside/Muizenberg forced a ban on all watersports for two weeks after water tests showed unsafe pollution levels. The ban was lifted on Friday amid ongoing concern about pollution both in the estuary and in the ocean where the city releases treated sewage.
