Dior ditches lily-white for all-black

The world of high fashion is not known for being a bastion of racial equality. Generally, it likes white faces wearing white designers.
Last week, Dior looked as if it was in lockstep with the stereotype, but then it pivoted.
The fashion house caught a fair amount of heat for casting a lily-white collection of models for its women’s wear couture presentation. So, earlier this week, it decided to show it is not as out of step with the times as that presentation suggested. ..
