The relationship between artist and muse spans every genre and has resulted in some of the greatest collaborations in history. From Audrey Hepburn and Givenchy, to Sofia Coppola and Marc Jacobs, the fashion industry celebrates every facet of this most sacred relationship, with Anna Wintour even paying homage through the 2009 Met Gala theme “Model as Muse: Embodying Fashion”.

Enter Nicola Formichetti and Lady Gaga, the modern-day Botticelli and Venus. 

Formichetti, a fashion heavyweight lending his creative talents to Thierry Mugler, Diesel and his own brand, Nicopanda, and Lady Gaga, the biggest pop star in the world, in need of a creative director, began a collaboration that resulted in some of the most jaw-dropping fashion the world has seen. ..
