A walk in the perk: you don’t need a coffee run to get your best brew

While we’re missing coffee shop-style socialising, you can still enjoy the best-quality cuppa joe at home

You know the scene. You waited months for the lockdown restrictions to ease and the minute they did you were off, dogs on leashes in tow, heading for the nearest coffee shop at a pace. Everyone knows the best excuse for a run, especially if you’ve been holed up in your property, is to go to your local and get a good brew. 

But social distancing has made the ’ole coffee run a bit of a downer. Queuing outside your local haunt, standing on designated circles six feet apart wondering if the credit card machine has been wiped down with sanitiser the requisite number of times to keep you safe has made the socialising exercise of the beloved coffee run a little unfulfilling. At the same time, your home instant coffee is not quite hitting the spot. The answer is a great cup that you can enjoy from home.
