Prue Leith takes a tasty trip into the world of vegetables

Prue Leith – the famous cookbook author who founded the Michelin-starred Leith’s, a top catering company and cooking schools, and is a judge of TV cooking shows – didn’t miss a beat when I told her that the only cookery book I own is Leith’s Cookery Bible from 1991.
“You’re not a serious cook then,” she said, amused. “You may be a good cook, but you’re not obsessed.” Touché.
Leith says she had about 2,000 cookbooks before she gave most of them away, but soon she was back to about 1,000. People just keep giving her cookbooks...
