The versatile leather handbag that changes young lives

Locally made leather goods feature unique designs by needy youngsters in Joburg’s Lalela arts programme

Having established an enormous international fan base for its limited-edition silk scarves, Lalela (https://www.lalela.org/) now makes leather pouches and luggage tags. Lalela (https://www.lalela.org/) is a non-profit organisation that uplifts at-risk young people in Johannesburg through its arts programme.

The leather pouches are digitally printed with artworks created by children in the programme, each one with a unique African story to tell. Better yet, all proceeds from  items sold go to funding the school.

Locally made every step of the way, the pouches can be used as handbags large enough to hold an iPad, or as elegant clutch bags when folded up. A versatile leather handbag that changes young lives … we like it...
