Africa’s curtain rises at international film festival

The second event of its kind, the film festival is running until November 30

The second Africa Rising International Film Festival is back this year. It started on Tuesday and will run until Saturday (November 30) in the Newtown Precinct.

What began last year as a pre-event to the Global Festival Week in SA and Mandela 100 Festival, the event is a showcase of what Africa represents, and was formed with the intention of showcasing African narratives and encouraging discussion and the growth of stories.
