Giving good blouse: Style tips from TV’s best-dressed series

Costume designers seem to be upping the fashion ante in this season’s high-budget productions

Apparently we’ve entered the era of “streaming wars”. At the beginning of November, Apple launched its own film and TV series streaming service, AppleTV+. This month  Disney+ was launched. Both new services hope to knock Netflix off the top spot – but there’s also Amazon Prime, Showmax …

Before you glaze over, to my point: what all this healthy competition means for us is really, really good TV, and lots of it. Watercooler shows used to be few and far between – now, you’ll be hard pressed to find time to socialise – one night out, and you’ll risk hearing a His Dark Materials spoiler before you can catch up.

Even better, these high-budget productions come with slick wardrobes to match. Ever since Killing Eve’s epic Molly Goddard moment (remember hit woman Villanelle’s frothy pink tulle dress paired with stompy boots?) costume designers seem to be upping the fashion ante...
