Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is the world’s biggest tech show. Las Vegas, Nevada hosted the show which kicked off the year with some great innovations. For over 50 years CES has been a global stage for next-generation innovators and breakthrough inventions. It is an immersive five-day conference where consumers, media and marketers take a first look at what’s to come in the tech game. This year’s show was hailed by many as one of the greatest. We look at this year’s coolest gadgets:
LG Signature OLED TV R
Think ultimate sophistication and class with LG’s roll-able TV. While it did make an appearance at last year’s show it was just a prototype. Most tech gurus were not convinced that LG would manage to pull it off, but the electronics giant has done just that. Rolling into 2019, LG’s credit card-thin roll-up TV will be available in stores this year. It's hard to tell which is more appealing, what's on TV or watching the TV roll up swiftly from its base.
The G690 Verde treadmill
Gym equipment maker SportsArt is making great strides, exhibiting an electricity generating treadmill at CES 2019. Designed with sustainability in mind, the G690 Verde treadmill will enable you to produce energy to power up other electronics and gadgets while you sweat in the comfort of your home. Talk about putting your best foot forward.
LG Home Brew
Another great innovation from LG – beer lovers unite! Just like you would make your morning coffee you can now brew your favourite beer at home. You have the choice to load it with your beer of choice from pale ale to Belgian Witbier. Your five litres of beer will be ready after just two weeks of brewing.
P&G Opté Precision Skincare System
The Opte Precision Wand is able to scan your face to detect dark areas on the epidermis such as sunspots, moles and freckles. To give you a flawless look it will then apply an exact amount of makeup or serum to cover up any blemish.
The Withings Move ECG watch
The first wearable watch that allows you to take an electrocardiogram, this is your health in a nutshell. While wearables may not be new to the market, this watch is the first of its kind, and even trumps Apple’s Watch Series 4 in style and affordability. Besides its amazing ECG feature the watch is able to track sleep and movement through your phone’s GPS. And the battery lasts up to 18 months too.
