We all know less is more but it could not be less true in an office environment. Yet in a heatwave one may consider wearing that overly revealing top just to avoid the infamous sweat marks that show everyone how hot you are, literally.
If you have gone into panic mode over not having organised your summer wardrobe, here are five outfits to help you navigate the heat in style:
Fringe skirt
If you feel like pulling off an equally sensual and playful outfit look no further than a fringe skirt. Pair it with a crop top, a sandal heel and a statement cage bag for a chic look.
Shirt dress
Shirt dresses define the terms multi-functional and multi-seasonal as you can get many looks out of it. Style this basic staple with minimal accessories such as cat-eye sunglasses and sleek hoop earrings.
Wrap dress
Diane Von Furstenberg’s iconic wrap dresses are perfect for a day at the office. Style it with a metallic sandal heel or pair it with Birkenstocks for a laid back look.
Linen trousers
The natural fibre of linen with its light weave allows for maximum breathability making it the coolest fabric to wear in the warmer seasons. Wear these trousers with a satin blouse and a pair of mules for a relaxed look.
The basic golf T-shirt
Every wardrobe has one, the staple golfer which can be worn with anything. Wear it in cooling colours such as white, lilac, and pale blue. Pair it with a light high-waisted polyester tricot trouser and sliders for a sporty look.
