Why the fash-pack have their eyes on Tokyo and Seoul

New York, London, Milan and Paris aren’t the only fashion week runways worth watching

When you think of fashion weeks, chances are the first that spring to mind are those in New York, London, Milan and Paris. But international fashion weeks are growing year by the year. Where the “fash-pack” go, the eyes of the world follow, and the “other” fashion weeks – set outside of fashion capitals, on the edges of “fashion month” – often slip by with little mention of the burgeoning design talent coming from countries near and far.
Two fashion weeks worth noting are Amazon Fashion Week in Tokyo and Seoul Fashion Week, where collections did well to pique interest in Japan and Hong Kong.From deconstructed tailoring and shirting at Akiko Aoki and sharp suiting at Caruso, to luxe streetwear at MisterGentleman, Charms and Digawell,  to the insouciant  silhouettes at F/CE, designers from each country showed  collections that were ultra-wearable and on par with the international A/W18 collections as a whole.  These are some of the collections that made a lasting impression:
