Weekends are the perfect time to wiggle your way into a comfy couch crevice and binge on TV and junk food. Here are a couple of shows to check out:
On The Run Eatin’Catch rapper turned media personality N.O.R.E gallivanting around the US mixing food, hip-hop and the occasional strip club in what can only be described as “a different kind of food show”. Catch season 1 of On The Run Eating on YouTube.
Seven SecondsA crime drama that follows the hit and run of a black teenager, the ensuing cover up, and the racial tensions that flare up in the absence of quick resolution of the case. The show is particularly timely given the current socio-political climate we find ourselves in. Available on Netflix.
MuteA sci-fi mystery film about a mute bartender who goes after Berlin’s underworld after his girlfriend mysteriously goes missing. Set in the near future, this movie may end up reminding you of a futuristic version of Taken. Available on Netflix.
GodlessA ruthless outlaw terrorises the West in search of a former member of his gang, who’s found a new life in a quiet town populated only by women. When the outlaw catches up with his former colleague with violence in his heart, the townsfolk end up putting up much more of a fight than they expected.  Available on Netflix.
TutA visually stunning three-part miniseries following the intrigues and power-plays in the court of Tutankhamun, one of the most famous Pharaohs ever. Available on Showmax.
