It’s Child Protection Week, but let’s shift the timeline to ensure our young people are always protected
There can be no keener revelation of a society’s soul than the way in which it treats its children. These words, spoken by Nelson Mandela, ring as true today as they did when he said them 27 years ago.
They become more poignant this week as we mark National Child Protection Week, in which we should reflect how, as a nation, we have acquitted ourselves in looking after the interests and wellbeing of our children.
