Car-crash refund tales are the order of the day
Here is the conclusion of one epic story and the introduction of a question motorists rarely think about
Two weeks ago I ended this column, about Arno Zacharias of Somerset West’s epic battle to get a refund for his purchase of a dud car, with “to be continued”.
I’m happy to report that his three-year tussle with Caledon Toyota has since ended.
A quick summary: Zacharias bought the 2013 Audi A3 Sportback from that dealership in May 2018 and, four months later after the aircon unit packed up, he got solid proof that the car had been in a serious front-end collision before being sold to him...
