I signed up to take part in trials for a promising vaccine as SA joins the global race against Covid-19
If I hadn’t seen the needle going into my arm, I probably wouldn’t have noticed the prick at 12:01 on Thursday giving me either the ChAdOx1 nCoV-19 vaccine or a placebo shot.
The needle was thin and the jab virtually painless, over in a heartbeat.
