EDITORIAL | On your knees, people, Faith’s in the house

ANC MP Faith Muthambi should have knelt before the man she seemed quite happy to have kneel before her


Demeaning, debasing and disgusting.

These words spring to mind when looking at the photograph of an impoverished man in rural Limpopo kneeling before ANC MP Faith Muthambi.

The picture was taken on Friday in HaMpengu village, near Thohoyandou. At the time, the man, Colbert Tshifhango, was accepting R1,000 cash which Muthambi was given by a local businessman to hand to him.
