Making peace with a piece is not as piquing as sneaky peaking

I haven’t watched much TV lately, mostly because the last time I did I was horrified by an ad with English subtitles for the vernacular-speaking characters. When a beautiful smiling woman regarded her spotless laundry, the subtitle informed us that the cleaning product gave her “piece of mind”.
It would give me peace of mind if I could give whoever didn’t check the subtitles a piece of my mind.
It shouldn’t be difficult to remember the difference between piece and peace. ..
