It’s been 13 years. What will it take for this incredibly patient nation to hold to account those who caused this disaster?
It is unsurprising that South Africans are angry.
We’ve been locked down for months, lost scores of businesses and thousands of jobs, have been forbidden to buy cigarettes for more than 100 days, and now we aren’t able to buy any of our favourite alcoholic drinks.
And then to top it all off, Eskom tells the government response to the Covid-19 pandemic to “Hold my beer!” and adds load-shedding to the mix of maximum misery we must put up with...
