On Monday, pizza franchise Debonairs apologised to a customer after she found a “pizza screen” – a flat metal disk inserted between layers in the baking process – in her order.
Spokesperson Gail Sham explained that leaving the disk inside the pizza had been an “unacceptable error” but was at pains to stress that it “posed no food safety risk to the customer”.
A day later, budget airline Mango confirmed that a piece of one of its Boeing 737s had fallen off as it flew over Stellenbosch. ..
