‘Because I’m alive’: Why this Holocaust survivor is on a dating show
This is merely a next step for Dorit Oliver-Wolff, who cheated death when the Nazis wiped out her family
One of the most important lessons Dorit Oliver-Wolff has learnt in her 83 years – as a Holocaust survivor, singer, wife and mother – is that everybody needs a partner.
She and her mother cheated death when the Nazis wiped out her family; then she shared her life with Frank, her husband of almost six decades. So when he died from cancer – after asking for “one more kiss” – in 2018, she knew she would date again.
“I’m not looking to replace Frank,” says Oliver-Wolff in First Dates Hotel, the British dating show, set in Italy. “I’m looking for someone because I’m still alive.”..
