SA is in crisis and the ANC is a write-off. So, where is the outrage?
The 10.2 million jobless are docile in this state of emergency, but beware the ticking time bomb of radicalisation
What’s the hot topic in our politics today? Ah, let me see. Which “leader” in the anaemic ANC is stabbing another in the back, most probably. Who does Jacob Zuma say is a spy this week, maybe? Or perhaps, for the umpteenth time, the EFF has insulted someone and is gleefully hogging the headlines with innuendo and no evidence. The DA has probably announced that it believes “public protector” Busisiwe Mkhwebane when she goes after Cyril Ramaphosa but, in the same hypocritical breath, doesn’t believe she is up to the job.
That’s SA for you. Our house is burning and our so-called leaders are once again too busy with their juvenile pissing contests. The populace is in a slumber, rousing itself only to cheer when an EFF leader insults someone or Zuma calls one of his comrades an apartheid spy.
The truth is that we should be calling for a national state of emergency. A full-on crisis is unfolding while we insult each other...
