Zondo gives Zuma the ‘victim’ a captured audience

There is only one reason he would want to attend an investigation into something he thinks doesn’t exist

Jacob Zuma has confirmed that he will be attending the Zondo commission next month, introducing the prospect of an entire worm-canning factory. But don’t reach for the popcorn just yet.

For starters, Zuma has made it clear he believes the commission is biased, presumably because it isn’t chaired by someone winking at him and repeatedly mouthing: “Relax, I got you, boo.”

His lawyer, Dan Mantsha, has also suggested that the commission plans to “ambush and humiliate” the former president. And as someone who ambushed the country in 2009, and then spent the next nine years humiliating it, Zuma knows the signs when he sees them...
