Not only Tito needs smart tips for the end of the tax year

All eyes will be on finance minister Tito Mboweni when he delivers his budget speech on February 26. Experts believe this is the most important budget in the past 20 years as SA looks to retain its investment-grade rating. Moody’s Investors Services stated that for SA to retain its investment-grade rating it would need to see a “credible fiscal strategy to contain the rise in debt” in the budget. 

The minister isn’t the only one who needs to plan for an end-of-February deadline. It is the end of the tax year for individuals and is an opportune time to review your personal finances.
