The past 18 months have been tremendously tough for SA-focused investors, despite a rally in early 2019.

The JSE all share index has gone backwards since the start of 2018, and the selloff would have been a whole lot worse if Naspers (https://www.sharenet.co.za/v3/quickshare.php?scode=NPN) had not been riding on Tencent’s coattails.

The list of stocks that have fallen to new lows is growing as companies struggle to lift profits. At least 30 JSE-listed stocks have hit fresh 52-week lows in recent trading days, while only a handful have reached highs. ..
